Positive Effects of Climate Change?
You might say that this is impossible, but I choose to disagree. First of all, the rate at which people die, will decrease. With the increase in temperature, as report from Earth Gauge, death from influzena, and any other sickness that involves the cold, will be reduced. Also, with ice caps melting, new shipping ways will be open for transportation. Another positive thing about ice caps melting is the possible discovery of oil and gas. The new open area will cause off-shore drillers to collect more oil from the arctic area. Plus, the change in climate might make areas able to grow a bigger variety of crops.
Not all the lives of animals and insects are getting a negative effect from this, in fact some are becoming stronger. One example of a species that is thriving is the Brown Argus Butterfly. Scientists believe that with the increase of summer temperature, the Brown Argus species has expanded. With an increase of carbon in the air more plants can survive. The reason is, that plants require carbon in order to for them to perform photosynthesis. Two countries that can have a very positive effect from this are Canada and Russia. As I said in my last paragraph, the land will become more arid as the tundra starts to disappear.

I liked how you made it clear that you weren’t against climate change before you introduced your reasons why. It kept me reading because everyone’s idea of climate change is it isn’t a good thing and it made me want to keep reading to see what made you say that it isn’t all that bad. If it kept me reading it will also keep other people reading too. I also think that you gave good enough reasons to support your thought of climate change being not all that bad.
I like how you gave positive effects for all the “bad things” that are happening from climate change. You explained that the warmer weather can cause the dying rate to decrese, even though that is probably only for humans, it is still a good thing that comes from climate change. I think it would be cool if you wrote another post, and wrote the bad things coming from each of the things you explained, like the melting glaciers. Even though there may be a positive effect, im sure that there are many negatives too. Another post involving negitive things to what you talked about would, in my opnion, be very interesting. I think its interesting how you decided to do the positives, however. Everyone seems to be going crazy about climate change, does that mean there is more negatives than positives?
I think that it was a very good idea to go against the flow, it will atract many readers. I also think you are going to get a lot of negitive comments which I hope will be posted. I think that when people see how others appear when they are totally against your idea then they will be more open to it. I hope that they will be able to understand and wont be blocked be all that they have allready heard. It is not possible to fully understand a situation untill you have heard both sides. The people who visit these sights are going to read a lot of negitive things so I think this post you made is very important.
It’s nice to get a new perspective. Almost all these posts seem to be about negative effects. Anyway, you certainly make some good points. However, when you talk about certain animals thriving, I have to ask about how this will affect biodiversity. There is a balance in nature due to evolution with everything depending on everything else. I don’t know that it’s a good thing that one species thrives while another dies out. And while it will improve human life in some parts in the world, it may also cause more natural disasters and take more lives than it saves. I definitely see your point, though.
